Abstract
Novel compounds having the general formula ##STR1## wherein X is hydrogen or halogen, Y is hydrogen, halogen, methoxy or alkyl having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, Z is hydrogen, alkylcarbonyl having 2 to 6 carbon atoms or benzoyl, and R is hydrogen, alkali metal or alkyl having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, are disclosed. These compounds exhibit excellent hypolipidemic activity and little or no side effect.
