Abstract
Compounds of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sub.1, R.sub.1 ', R.sub.2, R.sub.2 ' and R.sub.3 independently represent a C.sub.1-6 alkyl radical, in addition to which R.sub.3 may represent a hydrogen atom, the alkyl radicals together containing in all at least 8 carbon atoms, are provided for use as highly sterically hindered bases in chemical syntheses.
