Abstract
A recording material comprising a substrate and a metallic recording layer, characterized by further comprising at least one mixture layer of a metallic compound and a metal has been found to have a high sensitivity and a high S/N ratio. When the recording material further comprises a stabilizing layer of a metal oxide and/or a stabilizing layer of a metallic compound, the storage stability and archivability can be improved, and, in some cases, the S/N ratio can be further improved.
