Abstract

The invention relates to a novel piperidine compounds which act as light stabilizers, heat stabilizers and oxidation stabilizers for synthetic polymers and have the general formula ##STR1## in which R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5, R.sub.6, R.sub.7, A, B, X, Y, a and b are as defined in the specification. The compounds are particularly useful as light stabilizers for polyolefines in the form of fibres or film.
