Abstract

A T.E.N.S. electrode is disclosed comprising an essentially dry, body-conformable, electrically-conductive interfacing layer having a maximum thickness of 10 mils, a low profile, one-piece electrically-conductive connector adherent to the top surface of the interfacing layer and a backing member, overlying the interfacing layer and the connector. The electrode is extensible in at least one direction up to 50 percent and requires less than about 25.times.10.sup.6 dynes/cm.sup.2 for an elongation of 20 percent as tested per ASTM Standard D-882.
