Abstract
New compounds of general formula ##STR1## and salts therewith of pharmaceutically acceptable acids, wherein R and R.sub.1 independently represent a hydrogen atom or a straight or branched alkyl group having from 1 to 5 carbon atoms, and n is an integer from 4 to 12; and of general formula ##STR2## wherein R'.sub.1 represents a straight or branched alkyl group having from 2 to 4 carbon atoms, W represents hydroxymethyl or the COOM group in which M stands for a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal or an equivalent of an alkali earth metal and n is an integer from 6 to 8. The compounds are useful in treating hyperlipidaemia.
