Abstract

Disclosed is an electrophotographic photoreceptor which comprises, on an electroconductive support, a light sensitive layer containing a carrier generation material, a carrier transport material consisting of a carbazole derivative represented by the following general formula I: ##STR1## where R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4 and Ar are as defined in the specification.
