Abstract

A dihydropyridine compound of the formula: ##STR1## or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof, wherein Het is 5- or 6-membered aromatic heteroaryl, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are each lower alkyl, R.sup.3 is lower alkyl, R.sup.4 is hydrogen, lower alkyl or aralkyl, R.sup.5 is lower alkyl or aralkyl, and n is 1 or 2. Such compounds are useful as therapeutic agents for myocardial and cerebral ischemic syndroms and hypertension.
