Abstract

A process for increasing the percent void of hollow filaments by contacting the filaments with water at a temperature of at least about 92.degree. C. for at least about 3 seconds. It is necessary that the treatment be carried out while the filaments are in an amorphous condition. Preferred filaments are polyesters.
