Abstract

A polyol for a polyurethane produced by reacting an epoxide with a reaction product obtained by reacting at least four components of (a) a phenol compound having the formula A--OH (A represents an aromatic ring having at least two reactive sites), (b) an aromatic amine having the formula B--NH.sub.2 (B represents an aromatic ring having at least two reactive sites), (c) an aldehyde and (d) an alkanolamine.
