Abstract

An electrophotographic toner effective for producing clear visible images, comprises a binder resin, and a charge-controlling and coloring agent comprising at least one 2:1 type metal complex of the formula (I): ##STR1## wherein M is Cr or Co, n is 1 or 2, Y is H or a radical of the formula (II): ##STR2## wherein X is H, a halogen, a lower alkyl, a lower alkoxy or a nitro and m is 1, 2 or 3.
