Abstract

A detergent composition consisting essentially of a water soluble mixture of higher alkyl glyceryl ether nonionic surfactants having the structural formula ##STR1## where R is a C.sub.8 -C.sub.16 alkyl radical, and n has a value of 1, 2 and 3, with an n distribution of 12-49% n=1 ethers, 24-61% n=2 ethers and 6-59% n=3 ethers.
