Abstract

Dyes of the formula ##STR1## in which D is an organic dye radical which contains at least one group conferring solubility in water, R is a halogenoalkyl radical having 1 to 2 C atoms or a halogenoacryl radical and n is an integer from 1 to 4 and each group of the formula ##STR2## is bonded to D via an aromatic carbon atom, are prepared by reacting the corresponding dye compounds of the formula D--H).sub.n with halogenoalkanoylamidoglycolic or halogenoacryloylamidoglycolic acids and are suitable for dyeing cellulose and polyamide materials.
