Abstract
An oligoisobutylcyclohexane of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 -R.sup.5 are identical or different and independently denote hydrogen, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 - alkyl group, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy group or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylthio substitutent and R.sup.6 denotes a branched chain C.sub.12 -C.sub.40 -alkyl group of trimeric to decameric isobutene, a process for preparing such oligoisobutylcyclohexanes and their use as dielectric liquids, lubricants, heat transfer media and the like.
