Abstract

This invention relates to novel cephem compounds of high antimicrobial activity, said compounds being of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is a group of the formula: ##STR2## in which R.sup.5 is amino or a protected amino group; and R.sup.6 is lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, lower alkynyl, cycloalkyl, cyclo(lower)alkenyl, aryl, ar(lower)alkyl, or halogen-substituted ar(lower)alkyl;
