Abstract

This invention relates to silicon-containing thiazines and to the process of preparing them. These are illustrated by the following formulae: ##STR1## where R and R' are substituted groups, for example hydrocarbon groups such as alkyl, aryl, cycloalkyl, etc.; A is alkylene, Z is a sulfur-containing group such as S, SO, SO.sub.2 and X is an anion. These compositions have a wide variety of uses including their use as corrosion inhibitors, microbiocides, etc.
