Abstract
Ink for use in an ink-jet printer, said ink comprising a solution in water of a water-soluble dye, a wetting agent and a compound of the following formula ##STR1## wherein R represents --C.sub.m H.sub.2m+1 or --O--C.sub.m H.sub.2m+1, m represents O or an integer of 1 to 6, and n represents an integer of 1 to 10.
