Abstract

Polycarbonates are heat stabilized by the incorporation of a carbonate compound having a boiling point greater than about 250.degree. C. and an organophosphorous compound such as a phosphonite or a phosphite. The amount of the additive compound used in each instance is from 100 to 10,000 parts per million.
