Novel chroman derivatives ##STR1## where R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 are each H or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, R.sup.6 and R.sup.7 are each H, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl or aryl, m is 1, 2 or 3, and R.sup.8 is alkyl or alkenyl of up to 30 carbon atoms, the preparation of these compounds, and their use as stabilizers for organic materials.
