Abstract
Compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen or hydroxyl, and non-toxic, pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof formed with inorganic or organic bases. The compounds as well as their salts are useful as sweetening agents.
