Abstract
As a detergent and corrosion inhibiting fuel additive, the product resulting from the condensation reaction of a C.sub.9 to C.sub.30 alkenylsuccinic anhydride in the presence of a base to form an intermediate spirodilactone followed by the reaction of the intermediate spirodilactone with diethylenetriamine and a fuel composition containing same.
