Abstract
An automatic knitting needle selection device in which a plurality of selectors are provided with protrusions which are normally in contact with corresponding solenoids that are mounted on a swing plate. The selectors are pivotally connected to a pivot shaft at their lower ends and the tilting motion of the swing plate puts the selectors corresponding to energized solenoids out of action while the remaining selectors are pushed upward by another drive means to set the corresponding knitting needles to a knitting position.
