Abstract
A hollow synthetic profile is cooled during extrusion by direct heat exchange through the introduction of under-cooled liquid nitrogen under a pressure of 2 to 8 bar into the hollow interior by means of a boring in the arbor of the extrusion tool with an insulated capillary tube forming the cooling medium line.
