Abstract

A water-based stain having a working time of from about 1 to about 3 minutes and a tack-free drying time of from about 10 to about 15 minutes at 160.degree. F. comprises an acrylic latex, a drying oil, ester gum, a glycol, a hydrocarbonaceous solvent, and pigment.
