Abstract

A method for the treatment or prophylaxis of disorders of inflammation and immunity and disorders associated with smooth muscle spasm, by administering dihomo-.gamma.-linolenic acid or a bioprecursor thereof conjointly with a physiologically acceptable lithium salt. Vitamin E and related tocopherols may optionally be also administered.
