Abstract

Pharmaceutical compositions consisting of an antibiotic (cephalosporins, tetracyclines, kanamycin) associated with a heterocyclicic .beta.-ketoacid (nalidixic acid, oxolinic acid, cinoxacine, piromidic acid, pipemidic acid) are endowed with a marked synergism against Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogens as well with a particularly relevant efficacy against antibiotic-resistant strains.
