Abstract
Skin-care, skin-protection, and skin-cleaning agent compositions containing as a skin-moisturizing agent at least one substituted carbamide acid ester, said substituted carbamide acid ester having the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is a member selected from the group consisting of an alkyl radical, having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, alkylol having 2 to 4 carbon atoms and alkyldiol having 3 to 4 carbon atoms, R.sub.2 is a hydroxyalkyl having 2 to 6 carbon atoms and having 1 to 5 hydroxyl groups, or R.sub.2, together with R.sub.1, is an alkylene having 2 to 4 carbon atoms in its chain, which is optionally substituted by lower alkyl and/or lower hydroxyalkyl radicals, and R.sub.3 is a member selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms and hydroxyalkyl having 2 to 4 carbon atoms, or an N-alkenyl polymer of the above cyclic carbamide acid ester, where R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are alkylene and R.sub.3 is alkenyl having 2 to 4 carbon atoms, as well as a process for protecting the skin utilizing this composition.
