Abstract

A method of making a hinge having a tongue component with an integral pin portion. The tongue component is formed by rolling up a free end of a shaped sheet metal blank and intermittently shaping the rolled portion with dies. The roll or degree of rotation inparted to the free end of the sheet metal blank to form the pin should preferably be between 475.degree. and 550.degree..
