Abstract

The subject invention relates to compositions of matter having the following structural formula: ##STR1## In this formula, R.sup.1 represents a C.sub.8 -C.sub.20 alkyl radical, R.sup.2 stands for a C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 alkyl radical, and n is a number, 4 through 15. These compounds are low foaming and have acceptable biodegradability. They are particularly useful in the formulation of automatic dishwashing detergents.
