Abstract

Cosmetic compositions, particularly lipsticks, which contain essentially: (1) at least one liposoluble polymer having vinyl ester units; (2) at least 10% by weight 1-docosanoyloxy-3-(2-ethyl)-hexyloxy-2-propanol or a compound of the formula: ##STR1## wherein: R represents a radical derived from lanolin alcohol R' represents the radical C.sub.10 H.sub.21 and n is 1.5; (3) at least one fatty body; and (4) at least one non-toxic coloring material. Processes for preparing such compositions, and particularly for preparing 1-docosanoyloxyl-(2-ethyl)-3-hexyloxy-2-propanol are also disclosed.
