Abstract

Tetrahydrophthalamide derivatives of the general formula: ##STR1## wherein X.sub.1 is hydrogen or halogen; X.sub.2 is halogen, alkoxy or substituted benzyloxy; X.sub.3 is hydrogen, alkoxy or alkenyloxy; R and R' are the same or different alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl or phenyl, each of which may be optionally substituted, or may jointly, together with nitrogen atom adjacent to R and R', form aliphatic heterocyclic ring containing one or two nitrogens or nitrogen and oxygen, which have a herbicidal activity against a broad spectrum of monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weeds.
