Abstract
Method for injection blow molding transparent hollow objects from a polyethylene terephthalate melt comprises molding from a melt at 530.degree.-575.degree. F. into a parison, quickly and relatively uniformly cooled by parison mold elements, at 75.degree.-150.degree. F., to a temperature above the glass transition temperature of the melt. The parison is then immediately blown and cooled to temperature below the softening point of the melt, all in a manner to avoid crystallization and to produce a hollow PET object, typically a clear bottle.
