Abstract
Use of hydrophobically modified nonionic cellulose ethers or ethylene oxide copolymers leads to improved particle size and less latex formation in suspension polymerization processes. Cellulose ethers are modified with a small amount of long chain (C.sub.6 -C.sub.25) alkyl radical. Ethylene oxide copolymer is ethylene oxide copolymerized with C.sub.6 to C.sub.24 epoxide.
