Abstract
Warm-blooded animals are treated by administering to the animal a dosage, effective to prevent or to alleviate the symptoms of herpes virus, type II, of a compound of the formula I or its acid salt: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are selected from the class consisting of H and --CH.sub.3 ; and at least one pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, wherein the compound is 0.01 to 95% by weight of the composition.
