Abstract
This invention relates to new phenoxyphenylthioalkanecarboxylic acid derivatives with herbicidal and plant growth-regulating activity of the formula ##STR1## wherein A is hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, B is a salt of a carboxylic-acid, an ester, a thioester, an amide or an imidoether thereof, X is hydrogen, halogen, cyano, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy, D is hydrogen, halogen, cyano or trifluoromethyl, E is halogen, cyano, nitro or trifluoromethyl and N is 0 or 1.
