Abstract
A compound of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents a vanilyl, napthyl, pyridyl or .alpha.-tocopheryl group, or a group of the formula, ##STR2## wherein R.sub.2 represents a hydrogen atom, a lower alkoxy, formyl, lower alkanoyl or phenyl group, or a group of the formula --(CH.sub.2).sub.n COOR.sub.3, wherein R.sub.3 represents a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl, phenyl, benzyl, anisyl or lower alkoxycarbonylmethyl group, and n represents an integer of 0 to 2, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof is effective for use as an anti-ulcer agent.
