Abstract

The invention relates to azo dyes of the formula ##STR1## in which R is hydrogen, an alkyl radical having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, which can contain --O-- and --S--members and can be further substituted, or a cycloalkyl radical, R.sub.1 is hydrogen or C.sub.1-4 -alkyl, D is an aryl radical and Pz is a pyrazolone radical, the azo dye of the formula (1) containing one and not more than one strongly acid group conferring solubility in water, their preparation and their use for dyeing and printing textile material.
