Abstract
Polyhydroxyl polyether compounds containing at least one monomeric unit each of the formulae: ##STR1## are disclosed. Polymeric condensation resins are prepared by allowing the polyhydroxyl polyethers to react with polyfunctional chain-forming compounds containing functional groups reactive with the hydroxyl groups of polyhydroxyl polyethers. The polyhydroxyl polyether compounds enhance the flame-retardant properties of polymeric condensation resins such as polyurethanes.
