Abstract
Brominated cycloaliphatic (meth) acrylate compositions are prepared by the reaction of bromine at a temperature in the range from -30.degree. C. to 50.degree. C. with compositions made by reacting (meth) acrylic acid with dicyclopentadiene compositions in the presence of a Friedel-Crafts catalyst such as BF.sub.3. The brominated compositions are useful to make copolymers which find use as metal coatings, laminates, ultraviolet light curable coatings and the like.
