Abstract

Water-soluble compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein A is an aryl radical, X represents identical or different groups of the formula --CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 -- and --CH.sub.2 --CH(CH.sub.3)--, R--CO-- denotes identical or different radicals of a carboxylic acid having up to 22 C atoms, n represents identical or different numbers from 8 to 150, p is a number from 1 to 10 and m represents 0 up to (p-0.5), are suitable for the preparation of colorants, particularly disperse dyestuffs or vat dyestuffs.
