A N.sup.4 -acylcytosine arabinoside preparation which consists essentially of (a) a liposome of lecithin and (b) a N.sup.4 -acylcytosine arabinoside having a C.sub.6-18 aliphatic acyl group and being encapsulated in the liposome.
