Abstract

A drug for stimulating the rate of proliferation of liver cells having as s active ingredient a blood plasma extract (NP) and a method of preparing such a drug wherein blood plasma is first acidified to a pH of 5.5, then heat denatured at approximately 95.degree. C. and subsequently centrifuged to provide the extract.
