Abstract

A quinoline compound of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is hydrogen or fluorine. A method of preparing the compound (I) is disclosed. The compound (I) and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof are useful as antimicrobial agents.
