Abstract
A photographic material having at least one layer containing a polymer having a repeating unit of the formula (I): ##STR1## wherein A is a monomer unit copolymerized with a copolymerizable ethylenically unsaturated monomer; R is a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group having 1 to about 6 carbon atoms; L is a bivalent linking group having 1 to about 20 carbon atoms; X is an active ester group; x and y each represents molar percent, x being between 0 and 95 and y being between 5 and 100; m is 0 or 1.
