Abstract
This invention relates to a chlorinated polymer and a coating composition employing the same which is characterized by being comprized of chlorinated polymethylpentene obtained by uniformly chlorinating an isotactic poly-4-methylpentene-1 having the melt index of 8-70 g/10 min. at 260.degree. C. and 5 kg, (ASTM D 1238-65T) in a solution thereof, to not less than 50 weight % of chlorine content.
