Abstract

An economical, low temperature, closed loop, thermal decomposition process is provided for producing a controllable mixture of heterogeneously and homogeneously nucleated ultrahigh purity polycrystalline silicon suitable for use in the manufacture of semiconductor devices and photovoltaic solar cells.
