Abstract
A compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is chlorine, bromine, or methoxy; and R.sup.2, R.sup.3, and R.sup.4 are individually hydrogen or methyl, at least one of R.sup.2, R.sup.3, and R.sup.4 being hydrogen; or R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 together are an ethylene group and R.sup.4 is hydrogen, or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof. Such compounds are useful as anti-hypertensive agents. Methods of preparation and certain novel intermediates are also disclosed.
