Abstract

Polyalkylated 4-aminopiperidine derivatives having the formula: ##STR1## wherein R is a C.sub.1 -C.sub.19 alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group of from 5 to 7 carbon atoms, an unsubstituted aryl group, an aryl group substituted with one or more C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy groups, an aralkyl group having 7 or 8 carbon atoms, or ##STR2## where x is an integer from 0 to 4 inclusive and R' is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, which are useful as stabilizers for synthetic polymers are disclosed. Also disclosed are compositions stable to photo-deterioration comprising said polyalkylated 4-aminopiperidine derivatives and a synthetic polymer.
