Abstract

A method for preparing an electronically conductive oxidizer by heating vdium pentoxide and subjecting it to a flowing reducing gas at about 500.degree. C., forming a product which is electronically conductive at temperatures from about 25.degree. C. to above 450.degree. C. and useful as a cathode material in thermal batteries.
