Abstract
4-Isocyanate methyl-1,8-octamethylene diisocyanate of the formula (I), ##STR1## and a method of preparing 4-isocyanate methyl-1,8-octamethylene diisocyanate of the formula (I) which comprises reacting 4-aminomethyl-1,8-diaminooctane of the formula (II), ##STR2## or its salt with phosgene at a temperature of about 70.degree. C. to about 220.degree. C. in an inert reaction medium.
